AMI Trainee Workshop

I was working for the Association of Mountaineering Instructors today running a short roping workshop for trainees preparing for their assessments. With a very poor weather forecast we decided to cover some fundamental skills under the canopy at Plas y Brenin for a while but then plucked up the courage to venture out with positive results. We remained dry all day with all the showers seemingly missing us all day. We started out with an ascent of the NW Face Route with a few diversions to cover important issues, topics and techniques then into Cwm Cneifion before making a descent of the lower section of Seniors Ridge (well ..the gully bit!)
