Mountain Leader Assessment

I was directing and working on a Mountain Leader summer assessment for Blue Peris Mountain Centre over the last 5 days. I had 4 candidates to assess but the weather conspired to give us a really hard time during the 3 day expedition with strong winds and torrential rain we also had a few hail storms early in the week as well. Well done to Ash, Dave, Lewis and Liam for putting up with the weather and me for giving them a heard time over the last 5 days.

In house assessments and a special guest!

I was over in Shropshire over the last few days conducting some assessments on a variety of rope activities such as high ropes courses, abseiling and climbing. During today's assessments we were visited by a very special guest and a hero of mine. "Tell 'em about the honey mummy" it was no other than the Honey Monster! The HM was on site during a photo shoot and was trying out various activities. I also had the pleasure of assessing a distant relative of Sir George Everest today and I'm glad to say he passed his abseiling with flying colours, as did everyone else. 😊✔
