ML Training. Day 2

Day two of the ML training course was a mountain day to look at route choice and leadership skills. Given the poor weather forecast I decided that it would be better to head over to the east of the park to get some shelter from the rain and the wind. We headed over to Capel Curig to start our journey up Crimpiau and then Craig Wen before making our way down towards Llyn Cowlyd and then back to Capel Curig. It seemed to work out quite well with good visibility for most of the day and light winds - it still rained though!!

In house assessments and a special guest!

I was over in Shropshire over the last few days conducting some assessments on a variety of rope activities such as high ropes courses, abseiling and climbing. During today's assessments we were visited by a very special guest and a hero of mine. "Tell 'em about the honey mummy" it was no other than the Honey Monster! The HM was on site during a photo shoot and was trying out various activities. I also had the pleasure of assessing a distant relative of Sir George Everest today and I'm glad to say he passed his abseiling with flying colours, as did everyone else. 😊✔
