ML Training (summer!)

I was co-directing a modular Mountain Leader Award training course for Liverpool John Moores University based at Blue Peris. The first half of the course was directed by Gareth Davies from Dringo Adventures and I ran the second 3 days which finished with an over night camp in the Moelwynion yesterday. The group were super keen but unfortunately the weather proved to be a challenge with mega cold conditions and snow down to about 500m. I must say that the mountains looked absolutely stunning and I think the group enjoyed the experience of dealing with the cold and hacking through 4 inches of ice to get at the water in Llynnau Cerrig y Myllt. In house assessments and a special guest!

I was over in Shropshire over the last few days conducting some assessments on a variety of rope activities such as high ropes courses, abseiling and climbing. During today's assessments we were visited by a very special guest and a hero of mine. "Tell 'em about the honey mummy" it was no other than the Honey Monster! The HM was on site during a photo shoot and was trying out various activities. I also had the pleasure of assessing a distant relative of Sir George Everest today and I'm glad to say he passed his abseiling with flying colours, as did everyone else. šŸ˜Š✔
