Single Pitch Training Course Day 1

I was running a Single Pitch training course at Blue Peris today for a group of students from John Moores University in Liverpool. I'm being assisted by Rob Johnson over the 2 day course and Rory Shaw on the evening climbing wall session this evening. The group were well prepared for the course which allowed us to cover quite a lot on the first day. The weather was absolutely stunning today with a good forecast for tomorrow as well - thankfully.

In house assessments and a special guest!

I was over in Shropshire over the last few days conducting some assessments on a variety of rope activities such as high ropes courses, abseiling and climbing. During today's assessments we were visited by a very special guest and a hero of mine. "Tell 'em about the honey mummy" it was no other than the Honey Monster! The HM was on site during a photo shoot and was trying out various activities. I also had the pleasure of assessing a distant relative of Sir George Everest today and I'm glad to say he passed his abseiling with flying colours, as did everyone else. 😊✔
