I was out and about with 3 trainee members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors again today who wanted to run through and consolidate the skills involved in short roping. We made an ascent of the NW Face Route and then down (and up and then down again!) the edge of Suicide Wall. It was a great day but very windy but we found shelter in Cwm Idwal thankfully with an extra bonus of it staying dry all day.

I was working for the Association of Mountaineering Instructors today with 3 trainee members looking at brushing up their knowledge and skills before their MIA assessments. We were looking at the skills involved with teaching leading in a multi pitch environment and based ourselves on the Milestone Buttress in the Ogwen Valley. The weather was stunning and the key skills were covered and it also helped that the trainees were incredibly keen and thirsty for knowledge.
