Fiacaill Ridge - Cairngorms

With a good weather forecast and better snow conditions, we headed over to the Cairngorms again today. The plan was to climb the Fiacaill Ridge with Rob and Debbie and look at pitching and short roping techniques. The wind was horrendous and seemed to be be concentrated across the ridge which picked up the snow to give us some very uncomfortable spindrift.



It was tough going but we were rewarded by some fantastic views and some chips at the Cairngorm cafe at the end of the day.

In house assessments and a special guest!

I was over in Shropshire over the last few days conducting some assessments on a variety of rope activities such as high ropes courses, abseiling and climbing. During today's assessments we were visited by a very special guest and a hero of mine. "Tell 'em about the honey mummy" it was no other than the Honey Monster! The HM was on site during a photo shoot and was trying out various activities. I also had the pleasure of assessing a distant relative of Sir George Everest today and I'm glad to say he passed his abseiling with flying colours, as did everyone else. 😊✔
