Milestone Buttress

With the weather supposed to improve in the afternoon Garmon and myself decided to go rock climbing with a view to climbing a route on the Idwal Slabs. As we drove up Nant Ffrancon in the car it looked really damp and overcast with spots of rain on the windscreen so we opted for the Milestone Buttress which looked like a better alternative and a bit brighter. We climbed Pulpit Route (VDiff) which was mostly dry if you chose your foot holds carefully!

In house assessments and a special guest!

I was over in Shropshire over the last few days conducting some assessments on a variety of rope activities such as high ropes courses, abseiling and climbing. During today's assessments we were visited by a very special guest and a hero of mine. "Tell 'em about the honey mummy" it was no other than the Honey Monster! The HM was on site during a photo shoot and was trying out various activities. I also had the pleasure of assessing a distant relative of Sir George Everest today and I'm glad to say he passed his abseiling with flying colours, as did everyone else. 😊✔
