Gold D of E

I've been out and about over the last 4 days helping out on a Gold qualifying D of E. We visited areas such as Ogwen, Llyn Cowlyd, Lledr Valley, Nant Gwynant, Beddgelert, Rhyd Ddu and Llanberis. I think all the students did really well and kept their spirits high even through the horrible weather we had on Sunday. Here are some photos I took during the event:

In house assessments and a special guest!

I was over in Shropshire over the last few days conducting some assessments on a variety of rope activities such as high ropes courses, abseiling and climbing. During today's assessments we were visited by a very special guest and a hero of mine. "Tell 'em about the honey mummy" it was no other than the Honey Monster! The HM was on site during a photo shoot and was trying out various activities. I also had the pleasure of assessing a distant relative of Sir George Everest today and I'm glad to say he passed his abseiling with flying colours, as did everyone else. 😊✔
